Who has not dreamed of going to the foot of the Pyramids?
We realized that dream in February 2007, enjoying an organized cruise on the Nile.

Our friend Nader, who lives in Cairo, advised us to go on a package tour: good price and safe travel in a country where attacks against tourists have ravaged a part of the economy.

We had a lot of difficulty to adapt to this way of travel, but the beauty of the sites far outweighed the disadvantages.

The end of the trip was very informative when we arrived in Cairo, because Nader showed us the capital without going to the tourist sites.

A part of the poorest people has set up their homes in cemeteries.

Nader explained that he had never taken his wife to the poorest neighborhoods to protect her from the reality that she would have difficulty bearing.
